LWV of Columbia-Boone County Energy Matters Committee
Purpose
The LWV Energy Matters Committee aims to inform League members and the public concerning the significant impact of energy policies (state, local and national) on the economy, the environment, and public health and welfare.
The committee takes action locally, upon approval of the LWV Board, based on the League's local energy positions and the national (LWVUS) energy positions adopted in 1978 following a two-year study by League members nationwide. Key positions are advocacy of energy efficiency/conservation and renewable energy sources.
